Meet Dr. Nalya Jessamy:
Personalized Menopause Care for Women

I am a family physician and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) practicing in Toronto's East End. I am passionate about providing accessible, OHIP-covered menopause care to women experiencing the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause.

I assess and treat the full range of menopausal concerns, with a special interest in the connection between hormonal changes and mental health. This includes helping women navigate depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood changes, and sleep disturbances.

Wherever you are in your menopause journey, I would be honoured to support you with personalized, evidence-based care and help you feel your best every step of the way.

Perimenopause and menopause can look different for every woman. Here are some common symptoms that I can assess and treat:

  • Irregular or heavy periods

  • Hot flashes and night sweats

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Mood changes, including irritability, anxiety, and low mood

  • Brain fog and difficulty concentrating

  • Fatigue

  • Vaginal dryness and low libido

  • Joint aches and muscle pain

  • Weight changes

  • Headaches or migraines

  • Urinary changes

When You Don’t Feel Like Yourself

Many women going through perimenopause and menopause don't just come in complaining of hot flashes. They come in feeling unlike themselves — emotional, exhausted, unable to concentrate, and wondering what happened to the person they used to be.

These experiences are real, and they are hormonal.‍

Recognizing and validating that connection is at the heart of what I do.

Menopause can be a confusing time.
You don’t need to journey alone.
